KK Beach

One of the best stays, we were checked out after 2 days disappointed of some other place. (Moi Koggala) then we were passing this place just checked wether rooms available, from that moment till check out PATHUM has done an exceptional job, he has very good friendly team over there, rooms are cozy with the beach view and interior designs, food was amazing, we stayed only 1 night as the long weekend is over, we are coming back again for sure, thank you everyone for wonderful hospitality and friendly service, specially needs to remind the life guard who’s working at the poool area, he’s very friendly funny guy. Once again KK you’re the best ❤️

After two fabulous weeks touring Sri Lanka, a week of relaxation was all we needed to complete a perfect holiday ! KK Beach was the perfect choice, we stayed in Penthouse 2 - a comfortable and luxurious room with an enormous bathroom ! Although the menu was limited, the food was great and breakfast was delicious… One evening we were invited to go to the sister hotel KK Boutique for dinner, it is set on a tea plantation and was truly magnificent ! All-in-all we had a great week of relaxation - all of the staff were fantastic, but I have to draw attention to Kason who went the extra mile to ensure our every need was met - he even arranged a photo shoot with the local fisherman! On our last evening a local alerted us to a turtle laying her eggs on the beach - a perfect end to a perfect holiday ! Thank you all x

This lovely small hotel is a wonderful place to relax at the end of your holiday. We were in the penthouse suite which was very big and very comfortable with a large balcony overlooking the sea. The pool is fantastic and of a good length to properly swim in it. The staff are attentive and obliging. The food is reasonable but not exceptional. it's about 30 mins to Galle. The only thing you MUST be aware of is that the sea is not really swimmable in. We were there in mid to late January and only saw a handful of people swimming further up the coast. Certainly outside the hotel you would not want to risk it as it has fierce under-tows and the waves can be big and aggressive.

We had a wonderful 4 nights here at the end of our tour of Sri Lanka. The hotel is located right on the edge of a beautiful beach and any concerns about it being on a busy road soon disappeared with the sounds of the ocean. We stayed in an ocean suite and appreciated its spaciousness though we found the balcony on the small side. Most of the time was spent relaxing in the beautiful grounds anyway, ably looked after by the lovely Kasun. All the staff were super friendly & attentive. The only slight irritation for me was that one couple were allowed to reserve the (best) same table in the restaurant every night which seemed a little unfair. Food was excellent. If you’re looking for somewhere to relax & unwind away from the much busier Galle but within easy striking distance, I’d highly recommend this hotel.

The 1st thing I feel obliged to say is we didn’t feel this was a 5* resort, compared to, say Kumu Beach where we have stayed previously - I daresay there’s a price differential! The other poignant thing to mention is, given it rained at some point everyday of our stay, the basic rooms don’t seem to have a balcony and, the ocean suites that we stayed in have an uncovered balcony, which rendered it useless in the rain. The weather was not the hotel’s fault of course, but during our 5 night stay the hotel wasn’t at full capacity until our last night, and the suites appeared to be unoccupied - it would have been nice if the manager had used his initiative & offered those rooms to make the other guests stay more enjoyable. We also wondered why the hotel wasn’t full in high season… On the positive side, we did enjoy our stay here - the pool is nice, with plentiful sun beds & Kasun is an absolute asset to KK, making sure the guests are as comfortable as possible. He also accompanied me on the beach & showed me where to swim in relatively safe conditions, given the waves & fierce undertow. The beach is beautiful but the sand in front of the steps down has been swept away by the storms - we actually saw the difference in the 5 days, where the drop down onto the beach became less deep. The food here is top class - they’ve clearly got an excellent chef. The restaurant is nice but, given the lack of guests didn’t have much atmosphere & our 1st night we were in there on our own! We realised other guests were eating elsewhere - there is certainly other options within easy distance, either on the main road, or Galle. Incidentally, I must mention that KK is on an extremely busy road but once inside, you don’t hear the traffic at all - mainly because the ocean drowns it out. The other big asset here is the staff, especially Kasuntha, Prasad & Sahan - a real credit to the hotel.

We had a very enjoyable stay at KL Beach Hotel.From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good with a choice of western or Sri Lankan breakfast. We tried both which were delicious and plentiful. Restaurant staff very attentive and friendly. The view of the sea from the balcony was breathtaking. The beach was beautiful, extremely clean and empty. I must mention Kasun in particular for looking after us at the poolside and guiding us while we swam and used the bodyboard in the sea. He was so kind and friendly and always smiling! The standard of the room and hotel facilities were outstanding. Thank you for a memorable stay at KKBeach Hotel.
